ANAC Travel Show Arrives!
at Noyes Gallery, 119 S 9th St.
The annual ANAC Show is comprised of works of art from 40 art clubs across Nebraska.
A nationally-known artist is selected as judge. Award winning artwork travels throughout
Nebraska the following 12 months, giving people all across the state an opportunity to view
the show. Lincoln Artists' Guild members Howard Kaye, Jude Martindale, Missi Paul,and Reida Wrenholt are four of the twenty-five artists that received Awards of Excellence at the
2011 ANAC Conference.
The show will continue on from Lincoln to Fremont, O'Neill, Ord, Grand Island, and Aurora.

2 Great Shows Get a Second Exhibit
Meadowlark Coffee & Espresso Gallery at 1624 South St. will be hosting the Lincoln Artists' Guild
3 Objects Project and LAG's Fall Show.
3 Objects Project and LAG's Fall Show.
On Exhibit in January - 3 Object Project
Members of the Guild used the same three objects; a red vase, a seashell, and an artists' manikin, to create a work of art for the 3 Object Project. The diversity of interpretation was the purpose of this project.
On Exhibit in February - LAG Fall Show
The LAG Fall show was originally held at the Nebraska State Office Building in November 2011. The show was judged by artist and educator, Nancy Childs, whose internationally shown work includes monoprints on handmade papers. Ribbons were awarded to:
Best of Show - Karen Merritt for "Deceitful"
James Ray Award - Karen Merritt for "Say Cheese"
Award of Merit - Jude Martindale for "Paper Doll", Karen Schamp for "Moonlight Bay"
Reida Wrenholdt for "Too Many Scattered Thoughts"
Honorable Mention - Galina Keydan for "Green Hat", Rob Lanacaster for 'Hidden Pheasant"
Daniel May for Nebraska Barn

New Meeting Location for LAG
The Lincoln Artists Guild will start the New Year off at a new meeting location!
LAG will begin meeting at the LUX Center for the Arts on Tuesday, February 7, from 7 - 9pm.
The LUX Center is located in the historic University Place on the NW corner of 48th and Baldwin.
Artist, Lisa Cassel will be demonstrating and
sharing her art techniques in oil, acrylic, and
graphite at our February program meeting.
